Public transport service on Hlybochytska Street in Kyiv will resume as usual from December 16, the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) press service reported, citing the Department of Transport Infrastructure.

Traffic will be restored after the completion of tram track repairs and the reconfiguration of the overhead contact network on the street.

Tram routes No. 14 (Vidradnyi Avenue–Kontraktova Square) and No. 18 (Kontraktova Square–Starovokzalna Street), as well as bus route No. 112 (Mykytenka Street–Lukyanivska Metro Station), will resume operations.

At the same time, a temporary bus route No. 14-T (Vidradnyi Avenue – Kontraktova Square) will be closed starting December 16 for the duration of the repair work.

The length of the tram route along Hlybochytska Street from the junction at the intersection of Dmytrivska and Kopernyka streets to the intersection with Nyzhniy Val Street is 3,500 meters of tracks.

  • Repair of worn-out sections of tram tracks on Hlybytska Street lasted on February 1. Before that, the last time the section was repaired with a complete replacement of the upper structure of the tracks and road surface was more than 50 years ago, the KSCA noted.
