Ukraine to get 31 million euros for reconstruction of bridges in Kyiv Oblast
Ukraine will receive a loan of 31 million euros from Citibank for the reconstruction of bridges in Kyiv Oblast, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
"The agreement with Citibank will allow Ukraine to receive 31 million euros for the reconstruction of six bridges and overpasses. These are projects in Kyiv Oblast that will improve logistics and contribute to the return of life to our de-occupied territories," he stated.
A total of 24 man-made structures were destroyed in Kyiv Oblast during the Russian occupation. In the year that passed after the liberation, 20 temporary crossings were built near the destroyed bridges, but not all of them are able to withstand constant traffic loads.
That's why the Restoration Agency began the capital reconstruction of individual bridges, in particular on the routes M-03 Kyiv – Kharkiv – Dovzhanskyi, M-06 Kyiv – Chop and M-07 Kyiv – Kovel – Yahodyn.
On April 10, Ukraine opened one of the passages of the bridge over the Desna River on the M-01 route Kyiv – Chernihiv – Novi Yarylovichi.
