Ukraine's parliament fails to support dismissal of State Property Fund head
The Ukrainian legislature did not support the dismissal of Vitaliy Koval as the head of the State Property Fund, according to Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Taxation and Finance Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The motion to dismiss Koval received 225 votes, falling one short of the required 226. Koval was not present in the parliamentary hall during the voting, as noted by Co-Chair of the European Solidarity faction Iryna Gerashchenko.
The resignation letters from three ministers and the head of the State Property Fund were submitted to the Verkhovna Rada prior to the vote.
Koval has been heading the State Property Fund since November 2023.
The Verkhovna Rada supported the dismissal of Alexander Kamyshin and failed to dismiss Iryna Vereshchuk earlier on Tuesday.
