Albania opens its market to Ukrainian dairy imports

Ukraine and Albania agreed on the form of the international veterinary certificate for heat-treated dairy products intended for human consumption. This gives Ukrainian manufacturers the opportunity to export these products to Albania, the press service of Ukraine's State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection reports.

In addition to dairy products, veterinary certificates for the export of poultry meat and meat semi-finished products to Albania were previously approved.

The first step for the export of dairy products to Albania is the company's request to the territorial body of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection at the location of the facility to conduct unscheduled veterinary control measures.

Also, potential exporters need to familiarize themselves with the export certificate form agreed upon by the competent authorities of both countries.

Explanations of the requirements of Albanian legislation regarding producers of dairy products are indicated in the zoosanitary certificate and published on the official portal of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

Albania became the 32nd country to which Ukrainian producers can export dairy products.
