Russia’s missile attack on Lviv leaves power line, substations damaged
A power line and three transformer substations have been damaged following Russia’s missile attack on the Lviv region in western Ukraine overnight on Thursday, with two settlements left without electricity.
Overnight on Thursday, Russia hit a multi-storey residential building in Lviv with Kalibr cruise missiles, killing four people and injuring 34 others.

In a statement, the Ukrainian energy ministry noted Russia’s missile terror has also left thousands of people in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions cut off from power.
Crews are working to restore the power supply, security situation permitting.
Electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers, the energy ministry assured.
Ukrenergo, Ukraine’s state energy operation, earlier called on Ukrainians to use electricity more sparingly due to rising temperatures.
