eCherha on border with Europe to start at 16 checkpoints, including for passenger cars

The electronic border crossing system eCherha is being extended to 16 checkpoints in western Ukraine for all types of transport, announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting.

Truck drivers will be able to use eCherha from next week, bus drivers from July, car owners from August.

The Cabinet of Ministers is confident that eCherha will simplify the border crossing procedure for Ukrainians thanks to a simple algorithm of actions, minimal effort on the part of the user, and enormous time savings.

The electronic border crossing queue will help businesses minimize losses due to the reduction of cargo downtime at the border.

In order to cross the border using eCherha, you need to register through the application, receive a message about your status in the queue, its progress, and the time of arrival at the checkpoint.

The use of the electronic queue is free of charge.

Currently, eCherha works only for freight transport at the "Yahodyn-Dorohusk" checkpoint on the border of Ukraine and Poland. It was launched at the end of 2022.

According to the official website eCherha, as of the afternoon of May 2, 2,284 cars were registered in the electronic queue at the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint. Estimated waiting time is four days and three hours.
