Former DTEK CFO appointed member of board of state rail transport company
The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Anton Mishyn as a member of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia. Prior to his appointment, he worked at the state rail transport company as the Director of Economics and Finance, the UZ press service reported.
Before Ukrzaliznytsia, Mishyn also worked as an executive and financial director at Rinat Akhmetov's companies DTEK Renewables, DTEK Energo, and the Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant.
The new member of the board is tasked with bringing UZ to the break-even level, optimizing financial processes, and continuing work on reducing expenses, commented Yevhen Liashchenko, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Mishyn will also develop relations with international financial partners.
Mishyn himself noted that, in addition to breaking even, the priority for UZ is to support livelihood and develop infrastructure.
"To this end, we will concentrate on increasing operational efficiency, the effectiveness of investments in fixed assets, and building long-term relations with international financial institutions and investors," said the new member of the board.
On April 3, S&P upgraded the rating of Ukrzaliznytsia to the maximum level in wartime conditions.
