Restoration Ministry appoints new permanent head of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority

Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration Oleksandr Kubrakov, with the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers, has appointed Yuriy Lytvyn as the head of the state-owned enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority" (USPA), reported the press service of the Ministry of Reconstruction.

Before his appointment, Lytvyn headed the state enterprise of inland waterways Ukrvodshlyakh.

As the head of USPA, Lytvyn will concentrate on increasing the efficiency of the Danube port cluster. He is also tasked with attracting investments in the port industry.

Other priorities include ensuring the stable operation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative and preparing ports for the restoration of unhindered commercial shipping.

Before Lytvyn, Oleksiy Vostrikov was the acting head of the enterprise since June 2022. He previously headed the Rivne highway service.

In place of Lytvyn, Yuriy Pushenko took over at Ukrvodshlyakh. He was previously the deputy director for economic issues at this state-owned company. He will continue work on consolidation of the functions of the enterprise, restoration of the fleet, reorganization of the River Information Service and implementation of European standards on inland water transport.

A separate focus will be the attraction of investments in the development of river transport and interaction with partners.
