A May 9 ruling by the High Anti-Corruption Court and its appeals chamber resolution on applying sanctions provided the legal basis for handing control of Saldo's property to the State Property Fund. Saldo has faced accusations of collaborating with Russian forces occupying Kherson Oblast, where he was installed as chief after the invasion.
"The property and assets of the traitor Volodymyr Saldo, as well as his closest relatives, have been transferred to the state [coffers]. Now the State Property Fund must ensure the state registration of the ownership rights of these assets, and later the privatization or leasing of this property," said Economy Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko.
By decision of the government, the following were transferred to the State Property Fund:
→ three land plots;
→ hotel on 3,279.9 square meters in Kherson;
→ apartments of 304.2 square meters in Yalta;
→ two parking spaces in Oreanda (Yalta);
→ three-story building in Kherson on 2,143.3 square meters;
→ a house of 236.7 square meters in Kherson;
→ three apartments in Oreanda (135.1 sq. m), Odesa (128.5 sq. m) and Kherson (36.8 sq. m);
→ 2020 Volvo XC90 car;
→ 99.86% of PJSC Kashtan (developing a granite quarry in Zhytomyr Oblast) – registered to Saldo's ex-wife;
→ 30% of PJSC Delta Service (transport company) – registered to Saldo's ex-wife;
→ 55.56% LLC Bebko-Avto (a network of car dealerships and service stations in Kherson) – registered to Saldo's daughter;
→ 40% of LLC Konka (Kherson company engaged in the organization of recreation) – registered to Saldo's daughter.
In April 2022, the occupiers appointed Volodymyr Saldo as the chief Gauleiter of Kherson Oblast. In Ukraine, his assets were seized as he came under Ukrainian and Western sanctions.
