Employers in Ukraine are fighting for employees: the number of vacancies with housing is growing

The number of vacancies offering housing for employees is increasing in Ukraine, due to a shortage of workers, the State Employment Servicereports .
Because the number of vacancies in Ukraine significantly exceeds the number of registered unemployed, more and more employers are willing to provide housing for their employees in order to attract candidates.
According to the State Employment Service, more than 230,000 offers are available on the Unified Vacancy Portal every day, while the number of registered job seekers is about 127,000 people.
Since the beginning of 2025, employers have submitted more than 2,000 job postings indicating that they provide housing for their employees.
This figure is 30% higher than the same period last year – 1,500. For comparison, 3,500 vacancies with housing were recorded for the entire year 2024.
The largest number of such vacancies are offered in Kyiv and the Kyiv region: 330 vacancies have been submitted in the capital, of which 148 are still relevant; in the region – 276 offers, of which 132 are open.
Other regions with the largest number of housing vacancies were:
- Poltava region – 67 current offers;
- Dnipropetrovsk region – 72;
- Khmelnytskyi region – 68.
However, in frontline regions, the number of such offers remains the smallest.
- Due to the shortage of personnel, it has become a little easier for older people to find work, especially in blue-collar professions, logistics, and the service sector.
- In April, the average salary among job offers increased to UAH 24,500.
