SAPO opens case after journalistic investigation into Stefanishyna

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has launched a criminal investigation following a journalistic investigation into the acting Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Minister of Justice Olga Stefanishina.

"The SAPO has initiated proceedings based on the facts described in the Ukrayinska Pravda article. Currently, no one has been notified of suspicion in this criminal proceeding. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing," said Postolyuk.
Previously, the MP Oleksiy Honcharenko reported that the SAPO had opened a case against Stefanishyna.
"She is suspected of abuse of power or official position, which caused grave consequences (part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)." wrote Goncharenko.
The proceedings were opened on June 11, 2025, according to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau's response to the MP's appeal.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by NABU detectives.

SAPO press service clarified the NABU reported that criminal proceedings were initiated over possible abuse of office by officials of the National Agency for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
