At the Neopolis amusement park, an barrier-free accessibility program was presented
The presentation took place during the Mama Special 2024 event, dedicated to mothers raising children with disabilities.
"This year in our space, we continued implementing the barrier-free accessibility program. The first technical part was implemented at Neopolis during the construction and launch phase. For example, we took the accessibility principle into account when selecting rides, which now allows more people to visit them. Now we are moving further: continuing to adapt the Neopolis space and providing recommendations on using the rides for children with various needs and their parents, as well as training the park staff in relevant competencies," said Alina Biloshkurska, General Director of the Neopolis entertainment center.
Earlier, the amusement park team underwent an accessibility training. During the course, employees gained knowledge and skills for effective interaction with visitors who have different functional abilities, limitations or special needs.
"The main objective of the accessibility program is to offer safe leisure activities and adapt a space where families can spend time together, getting positive emotions and impressions," Neopolis commented.
