Philip Morris International hits the list of the best world employers by the Top Employers Institute

The established annual ranking of employers, conducted by the independent international Top Employers Institute, assesses the companies’ compliance with global standards in terms of HR management. In 2023, more than 2,300 companies from 121 world countries completed the certification.

The assessment covers six HR criteria and 20 topics, in particular:

  • People Strategy;
  • Work Environment;
  • Talent Acquisition;
  • Learning;
  • Diversity & Inclusion;
  • Wellbeing.

By the results of the year, the Global Top Employer certificate was awarded to only 17 international companies, which include Philip Morris International. To recall, PMI has more than 79,000 employees worldwide.

"Exceptional times bring out the best in people and organizations. And we have witnessed this in our Top Employers Certification Program this year. The certified Top Employers of 2024 showed exceptional performance. And amongst this community of outstanding organizations, PMI has proven their commitment to their employees on a global scale," notes Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink.

PMI’s affiliates were also recognized as leading employers in 31 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia/Pacific.

"This recognition has become possible thanks to our successful strategic decisions and innovative approaches focused on ensuring the needs and well-being of employees. Philip Morris consistently and systematically implements its social responsibility in regard to its people and is a leader in supporting employees throughout the world, particularly in Ukraine. Our success is based on a deep team-wide understanding of the company's transformation strategy and its commitment to a smoke-free future. We are proud of this award, as it is the recognition of our continuous work to create a comfortable working environment and promote the well-being of our employees," emphasized Emel Mordo, Director People and Culture at Philip Morris Ukraine.
