Interior Ministry employee suspected of selling "beautiful" license plates via Instagram
An employee of one of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv and his accomplice were reported on suspicion of receiving illegal benefits (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reported this.
According to the investigation, one of the suspects created and administered an Instagram page where he offered to purchase "beautiful" license plates, such as 1010, 1616, 1313, 1777, 0006, and others.
The prosecutor's office notes that the driver had to pay the official fee for the number at the MIA service center, and the "reward" separately through an intermediary. Without this, the selected number remained allegedly unavailable on the official website.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, an order for license plate 1616 for 8,000 UAH was documented, which the accomplice transferred to the personal bank card of an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In addition, the prosecutor's office documented the suspects' sale of license plates 0006, which were valued at $3,500, not including official payments.
Law enforcement officers have already petitioned the court to take the suspects into custody and remove the service center employee from his position.
