More than 90% of new electric vehicles in Ukraine are imported from China: imports for six months of 2025

In the first half of 2025, 42,700 passenger electric vehicles (BEVs) were imported to Ukraine, which is 38% more than in the same period last year. About reports Ukravtoprom.

The total customs value of the imported cars amounted to $813.8 million.

New electric vehicles totaled 9,600 units, up 19% year-on-year. Their value reached $232.1 million. 33,100 (+45%) used cars were sold in the first six months of the year, worth $581.7 million.

Among new cars, supplies from China dominate, accounting for 91% of total imports. This is followed by Japan (4%) and Germany (3%).

The United States remains the leader in the supply of used electric cars (39%), followed by South Korea (17%) and Germany (15%).
