The most popular hybrid car models in Ukraine in the first half of 2025

Experts of the Automotive Market Research Institute analyzed data for the first half of 2025 and identified the most popular car models with hybrid powertrains (HEV and PHEV) in Ukraine. About said ida's press service.

Domestic market

The share of hybrids in domestic resales is still small – only 2%. The leader was the Toyota RAV4 with 949 sales transactions in the first six months of 2025.

This is followed by the Toyota Camry (642 cars), Ford Fusion (424 cars) and the classic Toyota Prius (373 cars).

The top ten most popular cars also include Chevrolet Volt (357 cars), Ford C-Max (234 cars), Audi Q8 (213 cars), Volvo XC90 (208 cars), Toyota C-HR (190 cars), and Lexus ES (188 cars).

Import of used cars

In the segment of used hybrids imported from abroad, the Toyota Prius ranks first (353 cars). The second position is occupied by the Ford Fusion, which is available in both HEV and PHEV versions with the possibility of recharging from the power grid (313 cars). The demand for KIA Niro (285 cars) and Ford Escape (266 cars) is also growing.

The top ten most popular hybrid cars also include Toyota RAV4 (247 units), Toyota Camry (208 units), BMW X5 (199 units), Ford C-Max (192 units), Honda CR-V (163 units) and Mitsubishi Outlander (148 units).

The share of passenger cars with hybrid powertrains is higher than in the domestic market and amounted to 4.8% in the first six months of 2025.

Sales of new cars

Hybrids account for 26.5% of the new passenger car market, more than a quarter of all sales. The absolute leader is the Toyota RAV4 (1,647 new registrations in six months).

The top five most popular vehicles are also Nissan Qashqai (479 cars), Audi Q8 (404 cars), Toyota Yaris Cross (389 cars) and Nissan X-Trail (376 cars).

Also in demand in this segment are Volvo XC90 (320 units), Suzuki Vitara (308 units), Toyota Camry (293 units), Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class (258 units) and Toyota Highlander (216 units).
