Where in Ukraine are the most expensive Christmas trees, and where are they grown the most?
In 2024, over 1 million coniferous trees were grown in special plantations in Ukraine. Pines remain the most popular (52%), followed by fir trees (44%), and the remaining 4.5% are other species. However, according to the State Forestry Agency and Opendatabot, the volume of cultivation has halved compared to the pre-war year of 2021 (2.05 million trees).
