Ukraine has launched the first state service that uses artificial intelligence to automatically check documents when applying for a veterinary license in the ePermit system. About this reported Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.

The ePermit system works in conjunction with the Diia portal and allows entrepreneurs to quickly apply for permits and licenses.

The system checks documents, helps state experts make decisions, and returns information about the outcome of the review back to Diia.

"The new AI module automatically checks whether the submitted documents contain all the necessary data, and whether there are any errors or inconsistencies. This reduces the number of rejections, speeds up the consideration of applications and gives state experts more time to make decisions that really need their attention," the Ministry of Economy said.

The agency added that all computations take place without transferring data abroad and in full compliance with current information security standards.

According to the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov the new service demonstrates that the state is moving from mere "digitization of papers" to changing the logic of interaction with citizens.

Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev emphasized that artificial intelligence relieves experts of routine work, and businesses get less bureaucracy and a faster start.

The AI module was developed by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Google DeepMind. The project was implemented with the financial support of the EU under the EU4DigitalUA program.
