Budimex, the leader of the construction market in Poland, considers Ukraine an interesting market for itself, board member Cezary Łysenko has said, according to PAP Biznes.

"Ukraine is an interesting market in the long term. Budimex is preparing for it [...] but in the long term, not within a year or two," he said.

The representative of Budimex explained that in order to enter the Ukrainian market, the group needs it to be transparent, and the war in the country to end.

"In this regard, expectations are for the Ukrainian market to evolve through increased transparency, with ensuring worker and corporate safety dependent on cessation of hostilities. These are two conditions for Budimex to appear on the Ukrainian market," said Łysenko.

Budimex SA is a Polish construction company with an office in Warsaw, it is traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and is included in the index of "medium" companies mWIG40. In 2023, Budimex began working on three new markets: Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Latvia.
