Over 28,000 new apartments put into operation in Ukraine: which regions are leading
In the first quarter of 2025, 28,432 apartments in residential buildings were put into operation in Ukraine, of which 8,462 were in single-family residential buildings and 19,970 were in multi-family buildings. This was reported by the State Statistics Service.
The largest number of new apartments appeared in the following regions:
- Kyiv region – 5,472 units;
- Kyiv – 4,076 units;
- Odesa region – 3,488 units;
- Lviv region – 3,076 units;
- Vinnytsia region – 2,409 units.
The fewest apartments were put into operation in Kherson (16 units), Donetsk (40 units), Mykolaiv (49 units), Kirovohrad (60 units) and Sumy regions (75 units).
The total area of new housing in Ukraine was almost 2.3 million square meters, of which 1.15 million square meters were in single-family houses. The total living area was 1.04 million square meters.
Among the regions, the largest area of new housing was also recorded in the Kyiv region – over 444,000 square meters. In second place is Kyiv with a total area of over 282,000 square meters, and in third place is Odesa region (over 199,000 square meters).
The State Statistics Service did not take into account data from Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
