Apples are falling. Wholesalers are buying apples cheaper than last year

Three weeks ago – at the beginning of September 2025 – Ukrainian apples cost more than in Europe. They were sold for 100 UAH per kilogram. Now they are offered for more than three times less. In supermarkets, apples are increasingly sold at promotional prices of 25 UAH per kilogram. On OLX, apples from private orchards are even cheaper – they are offered for as little as 15 UAH.

This is because the area of apple orchards in Ukraine is increasing year by year. This year, thanks to this growth, it was possible to offset the damage caused to the orchards by the May frosts. It seems that the total apple harvest exceeds last year's figure. Harvesting is currently underway, and the market is already reacting to this with prices.
