SoftServe co-owner enters agriculture with dairy farm in Lviv region

Taras Kytsmey, co-owner of the IT company SoftServe, has become a business partner of entrepreneur Mykola Kmit (founder of the Morshynska brand) in the development of a dairy farm. He announced this during the Spring Business Forum in Lviv.
"Mykola invited me to join a project to build a cowshed for 2,000 cows. Construction is progressing successfully — we plan to launch the first phase in August and begin purchasing cattle," Kytsmey said.
He admitted that he hesitated for some time before entering the agricultural sector, but eventually decided that "it's very simple: if there is a market and that market has a milk shortage, then it’s a viable opportunity."
Mykola Kmit currently owns the Mukko trademark, under which he produces and markets goat cheese.
According to Zaxid.net, Kmit's company Mukko Milk recently began construction of an 18-hectare dairy farm near the village of Dolishne, located within the Morshyn hromada (community) in the Lviv region.
Open data sources reveal that the future facility will span more than 69,000 square meters and will include multiple cowsheds, a veterinary clinic, a feed storage facility, and other supporting infrastructure.
- In 2024, Taras Kytsmey — together with fellow SoftServe co-owners Yaroslav Lyubinets, Oleg Denys, and Mykola Kmit — also acquired the Plai ski resort near Slavske.
