The Ministry of Economy has named the leading regions for harvesting grain and legumes in Ukraine

As of August 1, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have already threshed more than 4.42 million hectares and harvested 15.47 million tons of early grains and legumes. About said the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
The harvested area is 39% of the total area planted with these crops.
The biggest harvest was in the following regions:
- Odesa region – 1.07 million hectares threshed, 3.09 million tons harvested;
- Kirovohrad region – 462,900 hectares were threshed, and 1.93 million tons were harvested;
- Poltava region – 344,700 hectares were threshed, and 1.52 million tons were harvested.
The largest amount of wheat was harvested – 11.36 million tons from an area of 3.05 million hectares. Barley was harvested in the amount of 3.57 million tons from 1.01 million hectares, and peas – 492,200 tons from 208,200 hectares. Other grains and pulses amounted to 50 400 tons from 145 500 hectares.
In addition, millet harvesting has already begun in Dnipropetrovs'k and Kherson regions. So far, 83 tons have been harvested from an area of 1,200 hectares.
Rapeseed has already been harvested on 781,900 hectares, yielding 1.76 million tons.
- Due to drought, spring frosts, Russian drone attacks and fires, farmers in Kherson region lost more than 50,000 hectares winter crops.
- Locust invasion following drought destroy the crop in the southern regions of Ukraine.
