Hot water supply will be temporarily suspended in Chernihiv on Friday, January 30, to ensure heating of buildings. About this reported Teplocomunenergo.

The reason for this decision is the shortage of thermal power due to Russian attacks on critical infrastructure and the expected cold snap.

"In these conditions, the available resources are not enough to provide consumers with both heating and hot water at the same time. That is why all the resources during this period will be used to maintain heating in buildings to keep the heat in the homes of Chernihiv residents," explained Teplocomunenergo.

The CP emphasized that the situation was temporary.

"Our common task is to keep the houses warm," they said, assuring that the company's technical and energy services are working in an intensive mode to stabilize the situation.

On the eve of the decision to limit hot water supply, there were adopted in Kyiv. The restriction does not apply to the entire city's housing stock, but only to buildings where it is technically necessary to restore heat supply, particularly in the Desnianskyi district.

  • Due to Russian attacks and cold weather, a state of emergency was introduced in the Ukrainian energy sector. Chernihiv is on the list of settlements where the situation in the energy sector is one of the most complex in Ukraine.
