In some regions of Ukraine, instead of emergency power outages, which began after the massive nighttime shelling on October 22,, hourly blackout schedules (HBS) have been introduced. This means that blackouts will become more predictable in terms of time, , the national energy company Ukrenergo said around 14:00.
The company advised to check the official pages of oblenergos (distribution system operators), where you can find information on the time and duration of outages at a specific address .
Regional power companies in Dnipropetrovs'k, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Poltava regions, etc. have already announced the transition to HWH.
Emergency power outages are still in effect in some regions due to the consequences of the attacks.
Ukrenergo has asked to conserve electricity when it is available, as the situation is unstable and may change.
UPDATED at 15:44. Later, Ukrenergo reported that from 16:00 in all regions where emergency outages were in effect, schedules of hourly outages of up to three stages simultaneously will be introduced.
- On the night of October 22, the Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on the energy infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine. To stabilize the situation in the power system, emergency power outages were introduced in most regions of the country. Emergency blackouts will be canceled after the power system is fully stabilized.
