The Polish government has sent more than 400 generators from state reserves to Ukraine to meet the needs of Kyiv and the surrounding region. This was reported by Piotr Łukasiewicz, Poland’s Chargé d’Affaires in Ukraine.

"Dear Kyiv residents and residents of communities around Kyiv! More than 400 generators of various types from Poland’s state reserves are on their way to keep you warm," he wrote on the social network X on Wednesday evening.

More than $1 million has been raised for generators for Kyiv by Poles who responded to the call of the Polish foundation Stand with Ukraine.

In six days, 42,609 people raised nearly PLN 5.32 million as part of the Warmth from Poland for Kyiv campaign.

The fundraiser was organized in partnership with several organizations and social movements, including the Help for Entrepreneurs initiative, which brings together members of the Polish Business Roundtable, Corporate Connections, Employers of Poland, and BNI.

Polenergia and the Kulczyk Foundation joined the initiative by donating PLN 500,000 to purchase 120 power generators. Dominika Kulczyk, the richest woman in Poland, also called on the entire energy industry to join efforts to help Ukrainians.

  • On January 21, 2026, Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 2.56 billion from the state budget reserve fund for the purchase of high-capacity generators for community needs.
