Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee (AMCU) has approved the acquisition of MTPC LLC, the operator of the medicine price aggregator Tabletki.ua, by the country’s largest mobile operator, Kyivstar, the committee said following its meeting on Thursday, January 29.

"Kyivstar PrJSC has been granted permission to acquire control over MTPC LLC," the AMCU said on its website.

Tabletki.ua is the leading platform in Ukraine for searching and booking medicines online.

To obtain AMCU approval, Kyivstar agreed to a series of obligations designed to mitigate competition risks in the pharmacy price aggregator market. These include:

→ Data from Tabletki.ua and Helsi users (a service already owned by Kyivstar) will be collected and used only with their informed consent.
→ Users who decline advanced data processing options will not be restricted from accessing the platforms.
→ Personal data from Tabletki.ua and Helsi users will not be combined without separate consent.
→ Prices for accessing Tabletki.ua will not be set at a level that would be unfeasible under competitive market conditions.
→ Analytical products based on anonymized combined data will be provided to third parties on open and non-discriminatory terms.

Within six months of the merger, Kyivstar must also implement a mechanism to clearly inform users about the use of advertising and behavioral tracking technologies and allow them to choose the level of personal data processing.

  • Earlier, in April 2025, Kyivstar completed the acquisition of 97% of the corporate rights of the online taxi service Uklon.
  • On August 15, Kyivstar listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange, with its shares trading under the symbol KYIV.
