Kharkiv to buy 85 used buses from Europe: tender conditions

On August 29, Kharkiv's Saltiv Tram Depot announced tender for the purchase of 85 used buses with an expected cost of almost UAH 230 million.

It is assumed that the buses were manufactured no earlier than 2012 and operated in the European Union.
The length should be from 11.9 to 12 meters, the number of doors should be at least two, and the number of seats for passengers should be at least 40.
Buses must be equipped with an air conditioning system. The engine is diesel, with an emission level not lower than Euro 5.
All purchased buses are to be delivered by May 31, 2026, and the first batch should be at least 15 units.
Bids will be accepted until September 6, 2025, and the auction will take place on September 8.
Today, Saltiv Tram Depot is the main bus carrier in Kharkiv, owning more than 230 buses, 150 of which are Karsan buses purchased in 2021. The rest are humanitarian aid received since 2022.
- Zaporizhzhia plans to double the number of buses on city routes. The vehicles were donated by international partners, including Sweden, France and Italy.
