Since the evening of Wednesday, the blockade of the Slovak border at the checkpoint "Vyšné Nemecké - Uzhhorod" has been slightly relaxed, the State Border Service reported.

"From 7:30 p.m. on December 13, the Slovak side partially resumed transit operations in the direction of entering its territory," the message reads.

As of 6:00 a.m. Thursday, 28 trucks were registered for departure from Ukraine, and 24 of them have already passed all types of controls in Slovakia.

The Slovak side said that it would accept two cars per hour. In fact, three or four trucks pass by per hour.

Carriers from the UNAS haulers association started a protest at the Vyšné Nemecké - Uzhhorod checkpoint on Monday. They blocked the movement of trucks leaving Ukraine, but did not prevent movement from Slovakia. The passenger traffic movement also works as usual.

Vyšné Nemecké is the only vehicle checkpoint for cargo passage on this section of the border.

On Monday, Poland unblocked the largest of the blocked checkpoints in Dorohusk. The next one could be Hrebenne.
