Ukraine starts preparing investment project for reconstruction of Odesa-Reni highway

The State Agency for Infrastructure Reconstruction and Development of Ukraine, together with the Public-Private Partnership Agency and the Reconstruction Service in Odesa Oblast, signed agreements on the preparation of a large-scale investment project for the reconstruction of the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway.

The agreements were announced by to by Serhiy Sukhomlyn, head of the State Agency for Infrastructure Reconstruction and Development of Ukraine.

on October 28, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding and a cooperation agreement.

"This is not just a road repair, it is a reboot of the logistics of southern Ukraine, which has become a key route for exports, humanitarian supplies and economic resilience," Sukhomlyn emphasized .

The project envisages the reconstruction of more than 300 kilometers of highway, dozens of bridges and the creation of new engineering infrastructure.

The planned scope of work includes two main stages, reported Public-Private Partnership Agency.

The first stage involves an analysis of the strategic development of the Odesa region's transport system within the framework of the Ukraine FIRST IPF program. The second stage will cover pre-investment studies and development of the necessary documentation with the support of the Ukrainian Government Project Preparation Framework.

"It is important to note that the implementation of such projects takes more than one year of work, and direct construction is possible only after the war ends. For now, it is important to prepare the project professionally," said Sukhomlyn .
