Volvo recalls over 413,000 cars due to camera fault

Swedish automaker Volvo Cars is recalling 413,151 vehicles in the United States due to a problem with the rearview camera. About this reported Reuters agency.
According to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the software will be updated at the dealer or via over-the-air update at no cost to car owners.
The recall affects XC40 models from 2021 to 2025. This is the second recall of the same vehicles in the US market, following the first in May last year.
"The second recall follows the first recall from May 2025 and is the result of the discovery of an additional issue that causes the same symptom," the company said in a statement to Reuters.
Volvo is preparing a software fix for all affected vehicles, with the update rolling out over-the-air in the coming weeks.
- On July 15, it became known that Volvo Cars will lose 11.4 billion Swedish kronor ($1.2 billion) in the second quarter due to delays in the supply of electric vehicles and rising customs duties.
