A new feed mill will be built in the Lviv region: it will produce up to 10 tons per hour
A new feed mill will be built in Lviv region, which will sell products on the domestic market of Ukraine. This was announced by KMZ Industries, a supplier of equipment for grain processing and granaries.
KMZ Industries signed a contract for the supply of elevator equipment with a company that raises pigs in the Lviv region and decided to build its own feed mill.
To do this, the company will install several silos for various purposes:
- two conical silos with a total capacity of 1,020 tons for barley and wheat;
- one silo with a capacity of 143 tons for corn;
- two silos of 41 tons each for soybean and sunflower meal.
"Products from all silos will be fed in certain proportions to the compound feed line according to the recipe for further production of feed for pigs, chickens, etc.," said Anton Honcharuk, regional representative of KMZ Industries.
The initial capacity of the plant will be two tons of compound feed per hour, but it is planned to increase it to ten tons per hour later.
This will allow the enterprise not only to fully meet its own needs, but also to sell products on the domestic market of Ukraine.
A noria, three chain conveyors (50 tons per hour each) and five screw conveyors will be used to transport raw materials directly to the feed mill.
- An elevator will be built in the Belz community of Lviv region, which will be able to simultaneously store up to 30,000 tons of grain, as well as a dry port.
