Blueberry prices in Ukraine increased by 53% compared to last year
Ukrainian gardeners are now selling blueberries at 170-240 UAH per kilogram
Blueberry prices in Ukraine are 53% higher than in the same period last year. About this report analyst of the EastFruit project.
Blueberry prices have been rising for the third week in a row. Currently, gardeners selling late varieties are offering the berry at 170-240 UAH per kilogram ($4.12-5.82/kg), which is 14% more expensive on average than last week.
The reason for the rise in price is a reduction in the supply of blueberries on the market amid high demand. Many producers have already finished selling early and mid-season varieties.
At the same time, market players are confident that prices for this berry will continue to rise.
- On August 22, it was reported that Ukrainian apples had fallen in price, but are twice as expensive as last year's – 35-45 UAH/kg.
