In Ukraine, despite the fact that the apple harvest has just begun, apple prices have already begun to decline. About this report analyst of the EastFruit project.

Despite the decline, current apple prices are on average more than twice as high as in the same period last year.

According to the project, the main reason for the decline in prices is the almost complete lack of demand for summer apple varieties for the 2025 harvest amid a seasonal increase in supply from Ukrainian farms.

Since the beginning of this week, apple prices have fallen by an average of 12%. Currently, the fruit is sold at 35-45 UAH/kg ($0.85-1.09/kg), depending on the variety and batch size.

At the same time, last year's apples, particularly from Poland, are still on the market and are also offered to wholesalers and retailers.
