Coca-Cola announced that in the fall of 2025 it will introduce a new drink made from American cane sugar in the United States. About it it says in the company's quarterly report.

"This innovation is designed to complement the company's powerful range of core products and offer more choices for all occasions and preferences," Coca-Cola said.

The company announced its plans after US President Donald Trump stated that has agreed with Coca-Cola to switch to cane sugar in beverages on the American market.

Previously, Coca-Cola used corn syrup to make its drinks for decades.

A more expensive version of the drink, sweetened with cane sugar and imported to the US from Mexico, has gained popularity in the country.

Analysts do not expect the company to switch to cane sugar completely. Most likely, it will be a new product line that is more expensive than the classic one.

In addition to the new product announcement, Coca-Cola also reported an increase in sales and profits in the second quarter of 2025. The company's net income increased by 1% to $12.5 billion.

Coca-Cola shares have risen by 13% since the beginning of the year, outperforming the S&P 500.
