The International Atomic Energy Agency reported that as a result of russian shelling on November 19 all three operating nuclear power plants in Ukraine have lost connection to one of the high-voltage power lines. About this it says on the IAEA website.

"Two power plants – Khmelnytska and Rivnenska – reduced electricity production at the beginning of the month due to the hostilities. Today, both facilities reduced generation even further after each lost connection to one of the high-voltage power lines. The country's third operating nuclear power plant, South Ukraine NPP, also lost its connection to a high-voltage line. The plant reported the detection of 11 drones at night one kilometer away from the site," the statement said.

After a massive Russian strike on November 19, the situation in Ukraine's power system deteriorated sharply and the duration of rolling blackouts increased significantly. For example, on November 20, some addresses in Kyiv will only have electricity for six hours a day.

Ukraine's Energy Ministry reports that Russia attacked power facilities in seven regions yesterday.

To stabilize the power system in some regions, emergency blackouts had to be introduced, which were later replaced by hourly schedules.
