Tax exemptions for import of generators, Starlink modules expire in Ukraine
The tax exemptions for the import of generators and Starlink satellite connection modules, which the Ukraine’s parliament introduced late last year, expired starting Monday, the state customs service said.

From 1 May, value added tax and import duties will be charged again for goods such as power generators, inverters and other similar equipment, and systems for providing satellite Internet access.
Also subject to taxation are goods provided free of charge by the Energy Community as assistance for the restoration and repair of the infrastructure of electricity companies, the customs authorities said.
Russia started targeting Ukrainian power plants and other energy infrastructure with missiles in October 2022, which led to widespread rolling blackouts.
Since February, however, there has been no electricity shortage in Ukraine due to a combination of factors, including the load of all nuclear power plants, warm weather, flooding on the Dnipro River, and imports from Europe.
