Ukrainian banks have financed the restoration of more than 1 GW of power capacities
Ukrainian banks have financed business projects to restore power generation with a capacity of 1.026 GW as part of the implementation of a memorandum on financing the restoration of energy infrastructure. About this reported National Bank.
It is noted that from June 1, 2024, to September 1, 2025, Ukrainian banks also financed 402 MW of energy storage and heat generation projects.
In total, during this period, banks provided UAH 27.1 billion in financing for energy renewal projects in 21 regions of the country.
In particular, we are talking about more than 2,000 loans to businesses for UAH 25.5 billion and more than 10,000 loans to households for UAH 1.6 billion.
As of September 1, the gross portfolio of energy loans amounted to UAH 17.9 billion for legal entities and UAH 1.3 billion for individuals.
The energy sector is identified as a priority sector in the Lending Development Strategy jointly developed by the NBU, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, and the Ministry of Finance.
