Ukraine and Moldova agree to extend "transport visa-free regime" until the end of 2027
Ukraine and Moldova agreed to extend the agreement on "transport visa-free travel" until the end of 2027. About reported Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
Thus, carriers from both countries will continue to be able to carry out cargo transportation without special permits.
The decision was made during a meeting of the mixed commission in Chisinau.
Thanks to this agreement, Ukrainian and Moldovan carriers can freely deliver goods both between the countries and in transit, for example, through Moldova to other countries.
According to the Minister Oleksiy Kuleba this is especially important for Ukrainian businesses, as it allows them to maintain access to European markets.
Last year, trade between Ukraine and Moldova grew by 12% to $1.1 billion. Liberalization of road transportation played a major role in this, Kuleba said.
The agreement on transport visa-free travel was signed in 2022. In 2023, the parties reached an agreement to extend it until the end of 2025.
