18,000 new companies registered in Ukraine in six months, including a third in Kyiv

Over 18,000 new companies opened in Ukraine in six months of 2024, reported Opendatabot with reference to the data of the Unified State Register.

37,000 new companies were registered in Ukraine last year.

Among new companies in the first half of 2024, 69.5% or about 12,000 are limited liability companies.

In second place are public organizations – more than 1,700 (9.7%). The top three include charitable organizations – 1,100 (6.5%).

New farms and condominiums account for 2.9% and 2.4% of all new businesses, respectively.

The largest number of new companies was registered in Kyiv — 5,600 or 31% of the total number. It is followed by Lviv Oblast – 1,500 new companies (8.2%) and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast – 1,400 (7.9%).

On August 21, 2024, the largest textile company of Ukraine received a grant for the creation of a knitting workshop.

1.000 largest Ukrainian companies earned 7.2 trillion hryvnias ($174 billion) for the year.
