Ukraine has unveiled the third model of a domestic mine-clearing vehicle, developed by the Ukrainian company efarm pro in collaboration with the Sumy manufacturer of agricultural machinery Kobzarenko Plant, as reported by the Ministry of Economy's press service.

Equipped with an unmanned control system and based on the T-156 tractor chassis, the vehicle can clear 5,000 square meters of land per hour, roughly the same amount as the Croatian DOK-ING MV-10.

The Ukrainian innovation has also demonstrated a very high density of land processing – the distance between the strips processed by the vehicle's working mechanism will be only two centimeters.

The new mine-clearing vehicle is currently undergoing the certification stage, after which it will be launched into mass production.

Preliminary estimates suggest the machine will cost significantly less than its foreign counterparts.

"There's no need to seek additional capabilities for manufacturing and, if necessary, repairing the machines. Given the operators' need for mine-clearing vehicles, there will be demand for this technology," said Deputy Minister of Economy Ihor Bezkaravainyi.

The developer of the new domestic mine-clearing machine is a company that participated in an innovation boot camp in the field of demining, organized by the Ministry of Economy in collaboration with the Kyiv School of Economics, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
