The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense has purchased UAVs and unmanned aerial systems worth 30 billion UAH ($725.2 million) since the beginning of 2024, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Contracts have been signed for the supply of over 350,000 drones. These include the most needed FPV drones and Mavics for the military, as well as expensive reconnaissance and strike aircraft-type drones capable of operating deep in enemy territory.

Practically all purchased drones (95%) are of Ukrainian manufacture.

"This shows notable progress in enhancing national defense technologies and validates the high quality of domestic products," said Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov.

Contracts for over 1.6 million UAV munitions have also been signed with domestic manufacturers, according to Maryna Bezrukova, Director of the Defence Procurement Agency.
