"Konstantin Zhevago's Arterium is being alienated for debts, who is the new owner
updated
Arterium Corporation Konstantin Zhevago is one of the largest players in the pharmaceutical market. The corporation, which is particularly known for such brands as Mukaltin, L-lysine escinate, Herpevir and Savior, is currently going through a bad time, and all because of an old problem that has long haunted all of Konstantin Zhevago's businesses – bank debts Finance and Credit .
Zhevago pledged the property of many of his companies against loans from his own bank, Finance and Credit. In 2015, this bank went bankrupt, and the rights to its debts were taken over by the Deposit Guarantee Fund and the National Bank of Ukraine. Now they are being sold off at auctions to the silent protest of the formerly powerful businessman.
In 2021, Arterium was the leader in the Ukrainian retail antibiotics market, and the corporation's value was estimated at $300 million.
LIGA.net previously wrote about Zhevago's other assets – Poltava Mining, which the DBR is trying to confiscate, as well as the tire plant Rosava, which is gradually being taken over by Kyiv businessman Leonid Hlynyanyi.
The story of Arterium is similar to Rosava: the company's property was pledged to Finance and Credit, and when it all went bust, it ended up at auctions.
