Flamingo manufacturer announces development of ballistic missiles and air defense system

Ukrainian company Fire Point announced the development of its own ballistic missiles and air defense systems. About reports industry publication Militarny.
At the Fire Point press conference at the MSPO international exhibition in Poland, the company presented the technical characteristics of two new ballistic missiles – FP-7 and FP-9.

The FP-7 has a range of up to 200 km, a maximum speed of 1500 m/s and a circular deviation of 14 meters. Its payload is 150 kg and the maximum flight duration is 250 seconds.
The missile is launched from a ground-based platform and is designed to engage targets at medium ranges.
The FP-9 has a range of up to 855 km, a speed of 2200 m/s, a payload of 800 kg and a flight altitude of up to 70 km. With an accuracy of 20 meters, it is capable of hitting targets in the deep rear.
In addition, Fire Point introduced a medium strike drone for defeating frontline targets with a 100-kilogram warhead.

"The FP-2 repeats the design of the long-range FP-1 drone, which is used to hit targets in the Russian rear. However, its range has been reduced from 1,400 to 200 kilometers, and the warhead has been increased to 105 kilograms," Militarnyi reports.
The FP-2 drone is designed with autonomous guidance for striking static targets, as well as with the possibility of manual control by the operator via radio to defeat moving targets.
Fire Point is a manufacturer of the Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missile with a range of 3000 km, mass production which should start in late 2025 or early 2026.
Defense Express specialized publication claimedthat the Flamingo is "very likely" an FP-5 cruise missile from the Milanion Group arms company from the United Arab Emirates, presented in early February 2025.
- In late August, it became known that NABU investigates the case regarding the likely corruption in the public procurement of drones. The audit should determine whether Fire Point overstated the cost of components and the number of drones under government contracts.
- From December 2025, the Ukrainian company FPRT, founded by Fire Point, will launch production of solid rocket fuel in Denmark.
