Lime and building materials manufacturer Calmit wants to build a plant in Transcarpathia
The European company Calmit GmbH, which specializes in the production of lime and building materials, wants to build a plant in the Zakarpattia region. This was announced by the head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration and the OVA, Myroslav Biletsky.
This topic was discussed during a meeting with the company's representative responsible for the implementation of the project in Ukraine, Peter Vanish.
Calmit GmbH has subsidiaries throughout Europe, and may soon build another one in the Bativska community in Transcarpathia.
Biletsky noted that company representatives have already inspected a possible location for the plant. The settlement is located close to the border, which meets the requirements of the customers.
In addition, it provides an opportunity to join the wide and narrow gauge and, in the future, to establish the logistics of raw materials and finished products.
According to local authorities, investors are still analyzing the technical conditions, but negotiations are already underway with the company's founders and its representatives in Ukraine.
"The construction industry in Ukraine will be actively developing in the next few decades, so the necessary products will be in demand on the market" , – emphasized Biletsky.
