Ukrainian ports have suffered significant damage since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, and their restoration will require at least 1 billion euros, Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Andriy Kashuba said during the Black Sea Security Forum in Odessa, Ukrinform reports.

"To date, almost 400 port infrastructure facilities have been damaged. According to preliminary estimates, the cost of restoring Ukraine's port infrastructure is at least 1 billion euros. These figures form the basis of the strategic recovery plan," Kashuba noted.

According to him, 31 civilian vessels were damaged as a result of Russian attacks, and 106 maritime workers were killed or injured.

Despite the shelling, Ukrainian ports continue to operate. In particular, the ports of Greater Odessa have already processed 123 million tons of cargo since the start of the sea corridor in 2023, of which 70 million tons are agricultural products.

Also, Danube ports in 2025 already processed 4.5 million tons of cargo.
