Ukraine is left with only two billionaires amid Russia's ongoing invasion

There are only two billionaires left in Ukraine. This has not happened since at least 2006, writes NV. It is from that time that the publication analyzes and publishes a list of the richest entrepreneurs of Ukraine every fall.

In 2023, there are only 30 positions in the rating, not 100 as usual.

The first place was taken by Rinat Akhmetov, the owner of SCM group. His fortune is estimated at $6.59 billion, which is 43% less compared to 2021.

The second line of the rating was taken by Viktor Pinchuk (EastOne) with a fortune of $1.72 billion, which is 34% less than in 2021.

The third place belongs to Petro and Oleksiy Poroshenko (Roshen) with a fortune of $954 million (-37%).

Next on the list are:

→ Oleksandr and Halyna Hereha, Epicentr-K ($907 million, -38%),
→ Revolut owner Vlad Yatsenko ($894 million, -30%),
→ Oleksiy Shevchenko, Grammarly ($865 million, +124%),
→ Max Lytvyn, Grammarly ($865 million, +124%),
→ Vadim Novinsky, Smart-Holding ($852 million, -65%),

There were five Ukrainian businessmen in the Forbes global list in 2022. Akhmetov took 445th place. Viktor Pinchuk ($2.1 billion), Vadym Novinsky ($1.4 billion), Kostiantyn Zhevaho ($1.3 billion) and Hennadiy Boholyubov ($1.1 billion) also made the rating.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index on November 9, 2023, Akhmetov is in 462nd place ($5.37 billion), Pinchuk did not make it to the list of the five hundred richest people in the world.

In mid-October, changes took place at the top of the ranking of billionaires – Bernard Arnault lost his position for the first time in a year.

At the beginning of November, the former assistant of Bill Gates became the fifth richest person in the world.
