TAS Group prepares to become a driver of Ukraine's reconstruction
The TAS group of companies, one of the largest Ukrainian holdings, is investing millions of hryvnias in modernizing its enterprises for the production of building materials, metal structures, and transport infrastructure that will be critically needed for the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war. This was reported by the group's leader Anna Tigipko in an exclusive interview.
"We clearly understand that after the war, the demand for building materials will be enormous, and we want to be ready to meet it. Our enterprises are already taking steps to increase production and develop new products necessary for infrastructure restoration," noted Mrs. Tigipko.
According to her, the group's flagship Dniprometyz plant plans to increase the production of reinforcing bars, metal meshes, nails, and other metal products. The enterprise is investing funds in upgrading production lines and expanding its assortment to provide building materials for the reconstruction of infrastructure facilities.
Another enterprise of the group, AB Stolichny, will supply concrete mixes and reinforced concrete structures to the market, and will also start producing mineral powder as raw material for roofing materials. TAS Stalzavod, in turn, will focus on casting parts for machine-building, agricultural machinery, and railways.
The group's logistics wing, TAS Logistik, which manages a fleet of 2,100 railcars, plans to take an active part in the development of port infrastructure. The company is negotiating with government bodies on the implementation of concession projects and the privatization of ports, including the construction of modern grain terminals.
"The development of port infrastructure is of strategic importance for Ukraine as an agricultural country, and we are ready to make every effort in this direction," emphasized Anna Tigipko.
Overall, the enterprises of the TAS group have a comprehensive vision of how to contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war. Given the large-scale destruction of housing, industrial facilities, and infrastructure, the country will require a huge amount of building materials, structures, and equipment, and the group's companies are ready to meet this demand.
