In Ukraine, demand for new electric cars increased by 93%: the ten most popular cars in May
Demand for new electric vehicles in Ukraine increased sharply in May 2025 to 1,257 vehicles

In May 2025, 1,257 new battery-powered vehicles (BEVs) were sold in Ukraine, which is 93% more than in the same period last year. This is reported by Ukravtoprom.
Compared to April 2025, demand for new electric vehicles increased by 35% in May.
The majority of new BEV registrations last month were passenger cars – 1,238 units, up 91% from the same period last year.

19 cars were sold on the market for new commercial electric vehicles, which is almost four times more than last year.
The most popular new electric cars of the month were:
- Volkswagen ID.UNYX – 254 units;
- BYD Song Plus EV – 210 units;
- Honda eNS1 – 188 units;
- BYD Sea Lion 07 – 61 units;
- Zeekr 7X – 55 units;
- Zeekr 001 – 52 units;
- Audi Q4 e-tron – 52 units;
- Honda M-NV – 44 units;
- Volkswagen ID.4 – 34 units;
- BYD Yuan Plus – 28 units.
In total, since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians have purchased more than 4,200 new electric vehicles, which is 5% more than in the same period in 2024.
- On May 13, it was reported that the Ukrainian marketplace Allo launched online sales of electric cars. Currently, 90 models are available.
