Tesla delivered a car to a customer's home without a driver for the first time in history – Musk

American company Tesla has made the first-ever autonomous delivery of a car to a customer. This was announced by Tesla CEO Elon Musk on the social network X.
The Tesla Model Y electric car drove autonomously from the company's factory near Austin, Texas, to the customer's home.
According to Musk, the car drove "through the entire city," including sections of highways, without a driver and without remote control by an operator.
Tesla's Head of Artificial Intelligence and Autopilot, Ashok Elluswamy, noted that the car reached a maximum speed of 72 miles per hour (approximately 115 km/h).
On June 23, after years of promises, Elon Musk finally began testing Tesla's robotaxi service in Austin. Currently, a ride costs a fixed $4.20. The initial phase of the program involves 10-12 vehicles.
At the same time, the first public test of Tesla's robotaxi revealed numerous driving errors over several days.
Videos posted by test participants showed cars driving into oncoming traffic, braking suddenly for no reason, stopping at intersections, or dropping off passengers in the middle of the road.
- Tesla sales have been falling in Europe for five consecutive months , despite the launch of the flagship Model Y and Musk's decision to step away from a political role in the US.
